Program Accommodations
Students with chronic medical or psychological conditions that may affect their ability to perform their work-learning duties are encouraged to contact the Office of Disability and Accessibility Services via email at dasoffice@berea.edu or by phone at 859-985-3327, so that accommodations can be considered. The Work College Program and the Office of Disability and Accessibility Services work collaboratively to locate suitable first-year and subsequent assignments as needed.
Acute conditions, such as a broken bone, or minor health issues, such as allergies, can often be accommodated within a student's existing position by placing them on light duty or adjusting their work requirements. When this is not possible, students should consult the Work College Program directly for assistance in locating an alternate placement.
