EDS 207 Black Education (AFR)

Black Education assesses major arguments, conceptualizations, and theorizations on education throughout the African diaspora. Students will learn about historical/herstorical, political, economic, and psychological discourses interpreting Black communities’ forever long and unending contributions to and relationships with education. Strong emphasis will be given to Black educational students’, educators’, thinkers’, and activists’ efforts to identify and combat anti-Blackness, capitalism and class struggle, and sexism and heteropatriarchy within global learning systems.
