BIO 202 Human Anatomy & Physiology II

Human Anatomy and Physiology II is the second course in a two-semester sequence that examines the anatomy (microscopic and gross) and physiology of the human body. Major topics covered include the autonomic nervous system, special senses, and the cardiovascular, endocrine, reproductive, respiratory, digestive, and urinary systems. Emphasis is placed on the integration of body systems and the regulatory mechanisms that maintain homeostasis. The lecture component focuses on core physiological concepts, while the laboratory provides hands-on experience with both gross and microscopic anatomy, as well as foundational physiological principles. The course includes three 70-minute class meetings and one three-hour laboratory session each week.

NOTE: Students are required to co-enroll in BIO 202P: Peer Assisted Learning, a supplemental course designed
to reinforce core content, strengthen study strategies, and provide collaborative problem-solving opportunities.
