ART 325 Fibers III

Prerequisite: ART 225 or permission of instructor

This course expands on the knowledge and skills developed in Fibers II. Ideation will start with student’s developed studio research question and be grounded in materials and processes they are interested in deeply exploring. The first two projects will be stand-alone projects intended to provide opportunity for advanced exploration and experimentation. The final two projects will be a sustained investigation that produces visually and conceptually connected art. This experience acts as a bridge into the 400-level
studio course. Students will write about and present both their work and the work of others.

Six in-class studio hours per week. Course Fee: $15, plus the cost of materials.
