Holidays and Days of Observance
The following policies have been set for days of observance, breaks and holidays:
Days of Observance
Mountain Day: WLS assignments are suspended for the day so students can participate in activities. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Professional Development (Labor) Day: WLS assignments are suspended for the day so students can participate in activities. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
All People's of the Earth Day: WLS assignments are suspended for the day so students can participate in activities. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday: Students work as usual but participation in events is encouraged.
Holidays
Good Friday: WLS assignments are suspended for the day. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Memorial Day: WLS assignments are suspended for the day. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Independence Day: WLS assignments are suspended for the day. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Thanksgiving, Christmas and Spring Breaks: Regular Term WLS assignments are suspended. Separate Break Contract Required
Juneteenth: WLS assignments are suspended for the day. Only positions with duties essential to the department’s operations will continue as scheduled.
Other
Reading Period and Final Exams: Students work normal hours during college reading periods and “as arranged” during final exams week.
