Assessment
Supervisors, departments, and the Work-Learning-Service (WLS) Program use two evaluation tools, the Work-Learning Evaluation (WLE) and the Work-Learning Experience Review (WLER), to assess educational performance and program effectiveness, and to make improvements based on the findings.
Supervisors have online access to view WLER responses from their students. Department administrators have online access to the WLE and WLER for students in their department(s). All data is de-identified, and access is granted only after the academic year or summer period has ended.
The WLS Program maintains the data and produces department-level WLE and WLER reports, which are distributed to the department administrator(s). In collaboration with Institutional Research, the WLS Program assists departments in analyzing their reports and uses the data to evaluate educational performance at both the institutional and departmental levels.
