Cost of Attendance
The cost of attendance, also known as the student budget, is a reasonable estimate of the costs a student will incur during a period of enrollment at Berea College. While tuition and fees are components of the cost of attendance, tuition and fees are covered through the various sources of aid (as discussed in the previous section). Therefore, the student (and family) is responsible for the other expenses included in the table below.
A student’s cost of attendance varies depending on where they will live during the academic year. Housing and food charges will be set by the College and charged to a student’s account (if the student is living on campus and has a meal plan). Other charges are indirect charges that may not be charged to the student’s account and will vary based on personal spending habits. (Students have the option of charging books and supplies purchased through the College Bookstore to their accounts.)
