ECO 311 Game Theory

Prerequisites: ECO 102 and MAT 135 or waiver or Instructor’s Permission.

This course is an introduction to game theory, the study of strategic behavior among parties (countries, firms, political parties, game players…) that have opposing, mixed or aligned interests. This course will sharpen your understanding of strategic behavior in simultaneous and sequential games and players using pure or mixed strategies. You will learn how to recognize and model strategic situations, to predict when and how actions will influence the decisions of others and how players exploit strategic situations for their own benefit. Course Credit: 1 Noncredit for students who completed it as ECO 386GT in Fall 2022 or ECO 286GT in Fall 2014
