MUS 130M Mariachi Ensemble

Mariachi Berea was established in 2015, to expand representation of and exposure to the musical heritage of Hispanic culture, the fastest growing demographic in Appalachia. Members play one or more instruments in the band comprising of trumpets, violins, and a rhythm section of guitar, vihuela (small 5-string Mexican guitar) and guitarrón, the traditional mariachi bass instrument.
